ATOK Livestock

Our family has bred pedigree livestock since 1946.

Holstiens

Roddy and Libby took over the friesian herd in 1981 when Stephen and Gretta founders retired, and upgraded them to holstiens. The milking portion were sold in 2002 to restock a herd in Cumbria after the devastating foot and mouth outbreak.

Border Leicesters

Atok Border Leicesters were introduced to the farm in 1981, nick naming the first purchases Charlie and Diana.

Texels

First purchased a ram in 1991 to cross with surplus Border Leicesters. However, a few weeks later purchased some females to add diversity to the farm. We now have 160 breeding ewes.

British Blues

British Blues were added to the Atok herd in 2002 during a visit to Cumbria to see our old milking herd. We sold 2 bulls in the spring show and sale at Carlisle in May 2009.

Atok Classical - £4,500gns.

Atok Chancellor - £5,300gns.
